Vergleichsgruppe dagegen bei (%*. Die
Vorteile von Rituximab waren unabhän-
gig vom Remissionsgrad nach der In-
duktion, vom Alter der Patuienten und
von der Art der Induktionschemothera-
pie. Ein längerer Follow-up sei aber not-
wendig, um den Nutzen dieser Erhal-
tungstherapie im Hinblick auf die Re-
duzierung des Rückfallrisikos bestätigen
zu können, schränkten die Autoren ein.
Die Erhaltungstherapie wurde gut ver-
tragen, die häufigsten Nebenwirkungen
waren Infektionen (("* vs. ''*). Die Le-
bensqualität war in den beiden Gruppen
gleich. Basierend auf diesen Daten wur-
de vom Hersteller von Rituximab in den
Vereinigten Staaten und in Europa die
Zulassungserweiterung für die Erhal-
tungstherapie bei follikulären Lympho-
men beantragt.
Yoga verhilft zu besserem
Schlaf undmildert Fatigue
Eine große randomisierte Phase-II/III-
Studie untersuchte den Nutzen von Yoga
bei %$# Krebsüberlebenden – ,)* Frau-
en, "&* mit Brustkrebs im Frühstadium.
Ein vierwöchiges Yogaprogramm ver-
half ihnen zu besserem Schlaf, milderte
die Fatigue und besserte ihre Lebensqua-
lität insgesamt [$(]. Die Studienteilneh-
mer hatten über Schlafprobleme wäh-
rend ' bis '% Monaten nach Ende der ad-
juvanten Therapie geklagt. Je nach Zutei-
lung erhielten sie entweder die Standard-
nachsorge oder nahmen zusätzlich wäh-
rend % Wochen zweimal wöchentlich an
einem Yogaprogramm für Krebsüberle-
bende teil (YOGAS®), bestehend aus Ent-
spannungsübungen, bewusstem Atmen,
Meditation und Visualisierungen, wech-
selnd in stehenden, sitzenden und liegen-
den Positionen. In der Yoga-Gruppe ver-
besserten sich Schlafqualität (($* vs. $)*),
Fatigue (%'* vs. $'*) und die Lebensqua-
lität insgesamt ()* vs. #*) im Vergleich
zur Kontrollgruppe. Außerdem konnte
eine Reduktion der Schlafmedikation um
'$* verzeichnet werden, während der Be-
darf in der Kontrollgruppe sogar um &*
anstieg. Es gibt nur sehr wenige Behand-
lungsoptionen gegen Schlafprobleme und
Fatigue, die bei Krebsüberlebenden für
längere Zeit wirksam sind, so Karen Mus-
tian, Rochester, die die Ergebnisse präsen-
tierte. Mit den Ergebnissen dieser Studie
könnten Ärzte nun auch eine nichtphar-
makologische Behandlung dieser häu-
figen Probleme empfehlen.
